This is the installation guide for BMW X3 E83 android Navigation GPS Head unit. You can buy the android screen [B283A / B283D] from our website. In fact, it is two models:

A) If your car with a factory screen, you should order [B283D]

B) If the car without screen, just a storage box, then order [B283]

This two models are difference, the car with factory screen contains a LVDS cable, after installed it, the factory menu/functions can be display in android screen.

if you order a wrong model, it will not work, so, that is very important to order the correct models.

How to replace factory BMW X3 E83 with aftermarket android navigation

Installation guidence:

1，Before installation   2, Remove the AC vents, take off the connector on the back

3: Remove the 2 screws marked as below photo  
4: After removed the two screws, the storage can be removed

5: Remove 2 screws showed as below, so that to take out the AC control panel 
6: Remove 2 screws and slide out the radio head unit

7: Remove the original harness from the radio head unit   
8, connect our power cable (male) to factory harness （female)

9, connect our power cable (female) to factory radio head unit, and put
back the radio head unit, fix it by screws    10. connect the AUX

11, In the following, you need to install the monitor, first need to distribute
the power cable/usb/gps antenna to the back of android monitor.
And then install the monitor

Tips

1, After replaced with android screen, all factory functions continue to work same as before.
(such as factory radio, bluetooth, steering wheel controls, idrive, parking sensors, factory vehicle display etc).

It is easy to switch the menu between the original menu and android menu, the iDrive working on original menu and android menu.

2. The installation is plug and play, no cutting the wires, no modifications, no need to program your car when installation.

3. If your car with factory navigation, you also need to install the GPS antenna for android screen.

(We are NOT recommend thesplitter for GPS antenna, it might burn down the android's GPS chipset inside)

4, For safe driving, we suggest to install a rear-view camera, when you back the car
(switch the gear to " R " - reverse mode), the android screen show the pictures on the back automatically.
